The LEAF K-12 Forestry Education Program recently wrapped up a 2-year revision project that involved working with tribal leaders, classroom teachers, and forestry professionals to improve our 4th-grade guide, which focuses on Wisconsin History. Our fantastic new 4th-grade curriculum gives a more accurate portrayal of the role forests played—and continue to play—in our state. This new curriculum also supports teachers in meeting Act 31 requirements for American Indian Studies.
