The Child Find mandate of IDEA requires all school districts to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities from birth through age 21 who may need early intervention programs or special education services. Attendees will gain an understanding of Child Find law and the school district’s responsibilities. Participants will learn how to implement Child Find with fidelity, understand when to initiate evaluations, and learn practical (dare we say even fun?) strategies to engage with families and help them understand their child’s development.
